Intel’s Supercomputer Test – How Many GFlops Is Yours?

I watched this interesting vid on the world's top 10 supercomputers, that had a link to the Intel CPU benchmark package:

You need to turn off screen savers and not run any other apps while the 1+ hour test runs, as I found the PCs could lock up due to the intensive workload and probable heat caused by this test, and to get a more accurate result.
It gives a text summary in the same folder as the binary at the end.
The Dell 490 comes out around 60 Gflops after 1 + 1/4 hr of tests.
Assuming you decompressed the file in your Downloads folder:
cd Downloads/l_mklb_p_2017.1.013/benchmarks_2017/linux/mkl/benchmarks/linpack/
chmod +x runme_xeon64
./runme_xeon64
For GUI only folk, make the 64bit binary executable in Properties then click and Run In Terminal:

Sadly, the Dell T3400 locks up COMPLETELY each time at about test 35000 calcs, so no final result for that...I may have to look at the cooling compound state on that CPU...
The only other Intel based chip PCs I have for comparison is my old Acer dual core laptop and an HP Pav dual core, results below when done...:
Nope! They lock up too. They just don't have the hardware to cope with the tests - memory particularly - the swap drive light is on permanently - not good,  (well, it IS for Supercomputers..)
